"Big E” brand: Walking through life with ten eyes

Todd Hattori, ABC, is the business manager for the Washington Department of Information Services’ Technology Acquisition Services. The opportunity to manage this multi-million dollar business – a unique model in state government – resulted from his commitment to aligning communication strategies with the “bottom line.”

For the past 16 years, Todd has developed a broad range of communication management skills by volunteering and working for a variety of non-profit organizations, government agencies, and private corporations. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in argumentation and negotiation from the University of Utah, and a Master of Arts degree in technical writing from Westminster College, where he later taught courses in newsletter writing, design and desktop publishing, and communication strategy development and measurement.

Although Todd “resides” in Seattle, Washington, USA, he “lives” in the world in which he pursues experiential learning opportunities that broaden his “global experience.” Meeting people, tasting different foods (and wines!), experiencing different cultures, and otherwise learning about different life experiences are his passions. He is currently serving as the International Executive Board chair of IABC.
